Meet Your Guide

I’m Elaine Harvey—ADHD mum, certified sleep and routine specialist, postpartum nurse, and early childhood educator. For over 22 years, I’ve helped more than 20,000 families navigate the highs and lows of baby sleep with empathy, insight, and real-world strategies.

I created Babies in Balance to give parents a clear, compassionate framework during a stage that can feel especially messy. Because your baby doesn’t need rigid rules—they need rhythms that feel safe and sustainable.

Elaine is a life saver. A true sleep angel. We had no confidence in what we were doing prior to our session with Elaine. Post session we had a plan, we were confident in implementing it and now our bub sleeps between 9 - 11 hours per night. And he’s a super happy little man. Thanks Elaine.

Frequently asked questions

My baby just went through the four-month sleep regression. Is this the right program?

Yes — Babies in Balance starts right where the regression lands. The four-month shift is a permanent neurological change, and it is the point where many families find that whatever was working before no longer does. This program addresses that transition directly: awake windows, nap structure, settling without cry-it-out, and building routine that adapts as your baby grows through 15 months.

My baby is nearly 12 months. Is it too late?

Not at all. The program covers the full 4–15 month window, including the major transitions: dropping from three naps to two, from two naps to one, managing early rising, and navigating the developmental leaps that consistently shake things up between 8 and 12 months. There is guidance that applies right up to 15 months.

Does this cover nap transitions?

Yes — in detail. Nap transitions are one of the most disruptive periods in the first year, and they are covered thoroughly. You will know what to look for, when to make the move, and how to handle the adjustment period without everything falling apart.

Will I need to leave my baby to cry?

No. Babies in Balance uses gentle, co-regulation-based settling throughout. The goal is to gradually build your baby's confidence settling with less parental support over time — not to remove that support abruptly. There is no extinction, no controlled crying, and no leaving your baby alone to figure it out.

What is the difference between the eBook and the full program?

The eBook is a comprehensive written guide — everything you need to understand the framework, build the routine, and work through common challenges. The full program includes video content, additional support resources, and a more guided experience through each stage. Both are grounded in the same methodology.
